Braid is a small, but powerful, development shop located in Charlottesville, Virginia. They chose the name Braid because of the thought of "weaving together." They value collaboration and cooperation, both within their team and with other people/teams/companies. Part of what Braid is doing is embedding themselves as a development team in other organizations, appearing as one cohesive unit.
When coming up with a visual strategy to fit their needs, I did not want to do anything cliché like a braided rope treatment. Instead, I wanted to come up with options that conceptually evoked the idea of braid/connection that were techy and exciting. In today's digital space your logo needs to be functional for all types of sizes. By providing a mark and logotype, the brand presence will be strong no matter the application.
